Alejandro Jiménez is a Mexican-Canadian director based in Montreal Qc, actually, he work and develops projects in both countries.
He began his filmmaking career in 2007 at Paideia film school in México, and attended a direction program in 2010 at L’Inis films school in Montreal.
He explores the cinematic storytelling to create his fiction-drama projects and "films publicitaires"(?); he is very implicated in the collaboration and video promotion of arts & culture in Canada with a very special focus in dance-performance pieces.
He represent Canada and L’inis Films School at Munich Students Film Fest in 2011 with his short Opalescence, wish were shown and won for the “Best Fiction Film” the same year at Skena Up Kosovo Film Fest. As well, he was invited to times to attend the Morelia Film Fest (Mexico) with his shorts Opalescence, 2011 and Dissonance, 2013.
He direct as well about ten shorts wich were shown in such festivals around the world as St Petersburg, FICM, Skena UP, PISEK. FNC, FFM, Fantasia, RVCQ.
